Hello Friends,
There is so much to share with you about the work that I have been doing. I hardly know where to begin. I will try and keep it brief but informative. It seems that I have gone from a very dry spell of ministry into a time that makes me feel like I am running a treadmill. It is a wonderful blessing though.

I had the great privilege of serving in the women’s ministry spring event at our church. They hosted Angela Thomas (the author of A Beautiful Offering). She was here for a Fri.-Sat. conference. The ministry team asked if I would greet people arriving in my “Church Lady” comedy outfit and then I also opened Angela Thomas’ sessions with Christian comedy. It was such an amazing blessing for me to do this. There were about 400 women in attendance and many from other churches. Doing this gave me some incredible ministry opportunities as I moved about with the women in attendance. In addition, it has opened up some new doors of serving other churches.

I have received calls to appear at a couple of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) groups, a women’s group for an area Methodist congregation, and also for a retreat at an area church in Norfolk. I am so thankful for these opportunities to connect with other women in ministry.

The following weekend I led in a women’s retreat for Coastal Community Church in Virginia Beach. The retreat was held in Wakefield, Va where we had approximately 60 women in attendance. This conference center is located just miles from where my father was born, raised, and is now buried. It was amazing that I should be so close an serving our Lord there. It was such a wonderful time with these ladies. God really moved about in our midst in some amazing ways. What a treasured memory for me as we closed out our time together in prayer and surrender. The weeping and surrender of lives was quite evident and I am so thankful to our Lord for allowing me to move about the room praying over many that were there. God also blessed me in the sale of some of my gifts of encouragement. This truly enables me to do many of the things that God has called me to do.

Following this event I held a Easter gathering of women last Thursday evening. It was titled “His Glorious Cross”. We had nearly 70 women there and enjoyed Christian comedy, terrific food, and fellowship. Then we went to the sanctuary for worship and candlelight communion as we prepared our hearts for Easter.

As you can see, it has been a very busy season of ministry. God has truly answered our prayers in so many ways.
I am so blessed in reporting to you that God has made a way for me to attend the writer’s conference in North Carolina in May. He has opened a door of book orders that have made the money available for me to attend. I am so thankful to Him for those who have ordered my materials and supported the journey that God has me on.
Please pray for me as I will be leading a Saturday retreat at the end of this month. It will be for a church in Norfolk and other churches are invited to attend. Then in May I will be speaking at two different MOPS groups, a women’s group, and speaking at a women’s tea on May 19th.

I will also be attending our son, Tim’s college graduation on Mother’s Day Weekend!!! Can you tell I am excited??? What a great mother’s day gift. I will have all my children with me at Tim’s new home as we celebrate. Tim will be the first person in my family to ever receive a baccalaureate degree.

Please continue to pray for our daughter, Kimberly. She has gone through testing and was diagnosed with the same vaso-vagal condition that I have. She has seen a cardiologist and has been put on medication. She is still having “incidents” and is going through a process of medication trials in order to find what works best for her. Please pray that her body will respond to the medications and that God will use this in positive ways in her life.

Our son, Jonathan continues to live and work in Louisville in preparation of returning to college there next fall. Please pray for discernment in making a decision about moving from his apartment in June. Also pray for him and his decision regarding whether to remain at the church he is serving at.

Ray and I continue to attend Weight Watchers and we celebrate having lost 32 & 18 lbs. respectively. We just thank our God for the renewed health and focus on being our best for Him.

God bless each of you for your prayers and your support. Isn’t God doing an amazing thing? How I praise Him! As always, let me know how I too may pray for you. We are in this journey together, dear ones. Please know that I am having my computer serviced and will not email access for a few days. If you don’t hear from me you will know that it isn’t intentional.

God bless each of you.
Pat
