Hello Friends & Partners in Ministry,
It has been a long time since I have written. No, I didn’t go into hiding. You never know where I will turn up or what costume I might be in when you see me. I have so much to share with you about Faith Steps and the journey I have traveled since the spring.
But before I do, I want to be sure you know about the Fall Womens Fashion Fiasco. This is one you don’t want to miss out on. Some may remember the Fashion Fiasco from last year. Yes, it was unforgetable! Well this year…buckle up!! God has allowed me to cross paths with some outrageous fashions to model for you this year. As you know, the evening will be filled with comedy, laughter, friends, and food. Then we end with an inspirational challenge to carry us into the season.

Now, let me tell you just how God has been working through this ministry. Following the Easter gathering of nearly 120 women, I had the blessed opportunity to lead a couple of local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) groups in inspirational challenges for their busy lives.
Then I led the Coastal Community Church in their annual retreat. It was such a great group of participants and they know how to have fun while being led deeper in God’s love and plans for their lives. My dear friend, Barbara went along with me as my assistant. She is such a wonderful companion in service to our Lord. Pray God’s blessings over her in return for her loving service to me and so many others. God blessed me in a truly amazing way at this retreat, and through this unexpected blessing He made me know His presence was there. I had sought Him for guidance in the way He would have me to write the final chapter to my book. He stood before me in the life of one person there and made me to know that the experience that I had with her there was the story that would be the final chapter. I tear even now as I write this.
Throughout the summer I have been blessed to speak for a few area churches. Usually I don’t get many invitations in the summer so I welcomed the opportunity to meet new friends and share about our great God. In August I spoke at Greenbrier Community Church where they have a newly formed Women’s Ministry. Pray for these dear sisters that are serving and seeking to reach area women for Christ. Then the very next day I had a great opportunity that I so much enjoyed. I led a worship service for South Norfolk Baptist Church. I have so many friends and sisters there as God has brought us together through Faith Steps Retreats and Gatherings of Women. It was a blessed time of giving my testimony for nearly 100 people. They gave a wonderful love offering that has carried me through these summer months. How I thank God for His provision.
Now I am gearing up for an unbelievable schedule for the fall. In addition to the Fall Fashion Fiasco I will begin speaking engagements in October that have me booked nearly every weekend until December. Praise the Lord!!! Mixed in that schedule is my daughter, Kimberly and Marty’s wedding on October 18th. I can hardly wait for that glorious day. Please pray with Ray and I as we await God’s answer to our prayers and that everything necessary for a Christian foundation will be in place for God to bless this union. We are also awaiting the marriage of our youngest son, Jonathan. He and Lindsey will marry on January 11th in Louisville, KY. All the birds from my nest will be married. Oh my, that truly does seem unbelievable!
I am hosting a weekend get-away for women on the weekend of November 1st-3rd. We will hide out at a beach home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Please pray for our group to have safe travels there and for God’s presence to delight us and fill us with The Holy Spirit. Pray for all the preparations I will need to make and also for Tina (the Chef whom I have hired for the weekend) The ladies are in for an incredible time. Pray for their refreshing both physically and also spiritually. O.K., pray for good shopping too!
Please be in prayer with me for the many churches and groups that I will be speaking to throughout the fall season. Please pray for discipline of time as I prepare and also for wise use of resources on my part. Pray above all things that The Holy Spirit will be free to fill me and lead me for our Lord’s glory.
I pray for the product sales at each of these upcoming events. I have been working and continue to work on new items that I believe God will use to equip women in their understanding of His Word and their journey of faith. I thank God for ladies who are coming alongside me to aide in the production of these materials. Pray for a great harvest so that the ministry can continue.
I also ask for your continued prayers for me as I mentor women whom God brings to me for guidance and a listening ear. I always ask God to lead in such a way that His words and His wisdom is shared. I pray for the lives of individuals to be empowered by Him and that the enemy will have no ground in our conversations. I thank God for these friendships and what they bring to my life. I praise Him for the many answered prayers He has given us.
As always, I am so privileged to have you come alongside me and take your time to offer prayers for me and for the furtherance of God’s Kingdom through the work of this ministry. I am so grateful to God and humbled by His call on my life. I am truly the least worthy and yet the most blessed. I tell the women I minister to that, “it’s all about me…I get the blessing…they just get to come along for the ride.” Thank you for riding with me. May God give you an extra special opportunity today to tell someone what He has done for you.
I do want you to let me know how I may pray for you. I truly do pray every night for those who are on my list. No one will hear your request from me except our loving Lord. My email is secure from others so please know that your confidentiality is secure and I value the time I can pray for you.
Bless you a hundred fold for all your love and support.
Love,
Pat
