These are both challenging and exciting days of ministry.  God has been leading in unusual ways, and I’d like to share some of it with you.  But first, I want you to be aware of the upcoming Faith Steps Easter Gathering.

The ministry of Faith Steps continues to be a journey of faith that stretches me beyond what I ever would have believed, prior to God inviting me to join Him.  Often I find that I am going one direction in ministry and then God changes the course, opens new doors and expands opportunities.  I have been busy preparing for a retreat that I thought would be held this weekend, however the church cancelled the retreat 48 hours prior to the event.  Although preparation had been made and the work completed, I know God is faithful to show me His purposes and grant grace to all involved.

I have been working on the bible study that accompanies each chapter in my book.  Our Lord is so kind and gentle with my searching, and He leads me in spite of my insufficiencies.  The end result of my work may not perhaps be stellar in its writing, but oh how He blesses my heart in the journey of writing it!  I have the wonderful news to report that another gift has been given to be applied to the publication of the book.  I am now about 1/3 along the way of raising the money for it’s publication.  I continue to ask for your prayers for the publication.  When that day arrives, so many people will have played such a great part in this God story.

I am also busy preparing for the spring beach retreat at the Outer Banks, NC.  I praise God for His wonderful leadership and the sweet fellowship I have had with Him while preparing the teaching material.  Please continue to pray for me to have the fullness of the Holy Spirit in every part of my preparation.  Pray for Tina as we meet to plan the meals.  Pray for God to draw others to come along.  May God bring those He desires to enrich & bless.  It’s not too late to sign up, there are two rooms still available.

Ray and I have been involved in several opportunities to minister together and this has been a true blessing for me.  We are currently leading a Fireproof Bible Study to strengthen marriages.  I praise God for over 30 people who are committed to this training.  Please pray for all of us.  It is so evident to us that Satan works ever harder to destroy the homes of Christians.  I praise God for those who desire to make their good marriages even better!  I also praise Him that even when marriage relationships are broken, there is nothing that our God cannot repair!

Let me say to you again how very much I treasure the thought of you calling my name to our Lord.  I know we all have very busy lives and needs.  It means so much to me that you take the time to pray.  I assure you that God hears those prayers and answers in ways that so often leave me in complete awe of Him.  I also treasure the opportunities that some of you have given me to pray for you and be involved in the way God is leading you in prayer.  Please feel free to share with me your needs.  As I have said before, my email is secure from others and only God hears me speak of your need.

These are uncertain times in which we find ourselves living and they can be challenging times for us to remain strong in our faith.  Know that I am praying for each of you.  I never send this out without reviewing the list and praying for each one of you.  As you pray, remember those who are enduring the effect of our economy.  Some are facing loss of employment, loss of homes, and with that; loss of hope.  May God use each of us to be the refreshing word of hope and may we be willing to sacrifice that others will know that the same hope that lives in us can live in them.
