Meet Pat Owens

Pat Owens came into a relationship with Jesus Christ as an adolescent. She had the blessing of being raised in a Christian home and taken to church from infancy. When she was in her teens she knew that God desired to lead her into service with Him. She made this commitment public in her church but really had no idea how God would fulfill that mission in her life.

Pat is the author of Faith Like Fire. It is a story of the journey God has walked with her and the mighty acts he has done on her behalf. It is the story of how God heard and answered her prayer when she held His word up to Him and meekly stated, “I want to know you like they knew you.” Be careful what you pray for! God hears and He will respond!

Pat began the full-time, faith-based ministry of Faith Steps in the summer of 2002. She continues to speak at women’s events, retreats, and Christian comedy engagements. Her passion is equipping women and empowering them in their walk with God.

About Faith Steps Ministries

The ministry of Faith Steps began in 2001 with the dramatic healing Pat experienced during a hospital stay that culminated in a “Code Blue”. Pat had been diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, a disorder of Muscular Dystrophy. She had worn braces on both legs and God had already been working to lead her to fulfill His purposes throughout her disability. She had, for several years, led women’s retreats after serving her Lord most of her life. Through this journey God led her to a place of healing, in order to equip her for further ministry.

Following her dramatic healing she knew that God was leading her to full-time ministry. She resigned her full-time position and began Faith Steps in the summer of 2002. Since that time she has led countless retreats, hosted speaking engagements, and gatherings of women. She serves in ministry to fulfill her purpose of equipping women to know Jesus Christ, live in fellowship with Him, and live their lives fulfilling His purposes.
